TechCast Privacy Policy

TechCast is a digital signage app for Apple TV, published by iTechnologies, LLC. This policy explains how the app handles information.

We don't collect any data

iTechnologies, LLC does not collect, store, sell, or share any personal information or usage data through TechCast. The app has no user accounts, sign-in, analytics, advertising, or tracking, and it does not send any information to iTechnologies, LLC.

How the app works

TechCast is set up by your school or organization through its device management (MDM) system. Based on those settings, the app downloads content to display on the screen:

- Slides, announcements, and lunch menus from Google Sheets, Google Slides, and Google Drive links that your organization provides

- Events from calendar links that your organization provides

- Weather for the location your organization provides, from Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com)

These requests go directly from the Apple TV to those services. As with any internet request, those services can see the Apple TV's network (IP) address. Their handling of that information is covered by their own privacy policies. TechCast does not send them any personal information.

Downloaded content is saved only on the Apple TV, so the screen keeps working during brief network outages. It is not sent anywhere else.

Children's privacy

TechCast does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
